For Grace

Tonight's the perfect night to die my love,
to swim freely through the black emptiness that is life,
to hover above the
the street lights, to caress the road signs,
to roam the empty streets,
our shadows drooping over the broken home.

Tonight's the perfect night to live,
to imagine a time without time,
to watch the world unfold from our illuminated palace,
to be you and me.

And when the shadows awake it will be the
perfect time to forget how
perfect it all really is.

Do You Believe?

Do you believe in virginity after sex, Mary?
Do you believe in a higher power, Christ?
Do you believe the stars are alone, Haley?
Do you believe in God, reverend?
Reverend, do you believe in God
And the words that come from his tongue?

Do you believe in love, Ethos?
Do you believe in the tide, Poseidon?
Do you believe in karma, Hitler?
Do you believe in life, Death?
Death, do you believe in life
And all of the pain it brings?

Do you believe in reality, Shakespeare?
Do you believe in drama, America?
Do you believe in me, God?
Do you believe in spirituality, World?
World, do you believe in spirituality
And all of the goodness that comes from within?
